Weaving Faith Into Life: Children will trust God in difficult situations.
Are you being a FaithWeaver this week? Try this fun faith-growing activity with your child: Sing the song "Silent Night" together. Following the song, talk about how God's plans were not only perfect but also special and holy. His plans were made long before Jesus was born, these plans were to send us a Savior, called Immanuel. Jesus' birth is God's gift to us!
With a voice of singing! Have you heard that Calvary will be offering an additional Christmas Eve worship service on December 23? We are looking for children to sing in a KidVenture Choir during that service. KidVenture @ Night has already been introduced to the song, and we will have two more rehearsals to polish the words and motions. Calvary night at ISU Men's Basketball
Sunday, January 23, is Calvary night at ISU Men's Basketball! The Redbirds will take on the SIU Salukis, 7:05 pm, Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Calvary's Oh Say Can You Sing choir will sing the national anthem at the game. Tickets are $10 (age 3 through HS) and $12 for adults and may be purchased at the Redbirds table in the Atrium this Wednesday, December 15 and also Sunday, December 19. Deadline to purchase your tickets is Sunday, January 9. Do not purchase a ticket for your singer. He/she will receive a free ticket at a later date.
Parent help is needed to sell tickets to the congregation for Calvary night at Redbird Arena. If you are available to help this Sunday, contact patmessinger@comcast.net.

KidVenture -Preschool & K-3
On Wednesday night, December 15, our Preschool & K-3 KidVenture groups will meet to enjoy a Christmas party. (6:30-7:30 pm) We will gather in Room L2 for stories, crafts, games and yummy treats.
At this joyous season, we want to offer our thanks to all of our helpers and substitutes, families and children who have made this a wonderful year for KidVenture Wednesday Night.
We feel blessed to work in this ministry at Calvary. Every week, we see God working in young lives. It is our sincere hope that your family might enjoy the warmth of God's presence at this Christmas season and throughout the year.

A special thank you for the support received during our recent fundraiser, Show Me the Dough. A special note of thanks to Michele Rolley and Sarah Cisco for your help with organizing the products upon arrival! For those who placed an order, pick up will take place on Wednesday evening, December 15 or Sunday, December 19.
This week the Mission Kids will enjoy a special time of Christmas fun, including cookie decorating, craft and sharing Christmas memories/traditions. Have a Merry Christmas!
