Weaving Faith Into Life: Children will praise Jesus for the great things he has done and is doing in their lives.
Are you being a FaithWeaver this week? Try this fun faith-growing activity with your child: As a family, write a list of the needs you depend on Jesus to provide for you. Then, as you see Jesus providing those things for your family, draw a big star next to the item on your list. At the end of the week, pray together to thank Jesus for taking care of all your needs.
With a voice of singing! Have you heard that Calvary will be offering an additional Christmas Eve worship service on December 23? We are looking for children to sing in a KidVenture Choir during that service. KidVenture @ Night has already been introduced to the song, and we will have two more rehearsals to polish the words and motions. Mission Kids, please remember to turn in your Show Me Dough fundraiser form tomorrow night, Wednesday, December 8. All products will be available for pick-up in the Atrium on Sundays, December 12 and 19. If you would be willing to come in and sort the products on Friday, December 10, beginning at 1:30 pm, please come join us in the kitchen. We could really use extra hands. Thank you for your support and giving these kids the opportunity to Connect with God and One Another!
Calvary night at ISU Men's Basketball Sunday, January 23, is Calvary night at ISU Men's Basketball! The Redbirds will take on the SIU Salukis, 7:05 pm, Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Calvary's Oh Say Can You Sing choir will sing the national anthem at the game. Tickets are $11 each and may be purchased at the Redbirds table in the Atrium. Mark your calendars...
Our KidVenture children, preschool through fifth, will head to Evergreen Village on Wednesday, December 8 to share Christmas cheer and love. We need parents to please check in and out their children at Evergreen, located across the street from Calvary. This evening includes our Mission Kids students. All kids, please wear your favorite red and/or green clothes for this evening.
Calvary Preschool is preparing for a special bake sale fundraiser on Sunday, December 12. They are in need of donated baked goods (cookies, cakes, pie or breads). Please deliver to Calvary on Saturday, December 11 or bring with you to church on Sunday, December 12. Thank you for your support!
