I have many fond memories watching Fred Rogers and his cast of neighborhood characters while I was growing up.  It was the centerpiece of my daily PBS viewing and helped to instill in me some of the values that I have today.  The message of Mr. Rogers was always one of patience and love, he spoke with gentleness and kindness and children around the world responded.

Thinking about Mr. Rogers now makes me wonder what message we as Christians are sharing with the world.  Is it one of patience or hurriedness, one of love or anger, one of gentleness or frustration?  Sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others through a kind word or simple gestured can make a difference in the life of one person.  As we finish this week, let us share the message of patience and kindness that Jesus perfected and Mr. Rogers taught us as children.  Let it touch the hearts and minds of the people we encounter and let us pray it would bring them to a closer relationship with God.
