Greetings!
Last night Jenny and I along with a handful of friends braved the rainy, chilly night to take part in Tour de Chocolat. This annual event sponsored by the Downtown Bloomington Association encourages participants to wander through the various businesses and restaurants in downtown and take in free (or very cheap) samples of chocolate. Despite the nasty weather outside the time with friends was great and the chocolate was out of this world. We were glad we had braved the weather instead of staying in.
I've found that at times life can be full of storms; nasty periods where we just want to stay home. During those times it helps to be lean God for direction and encouragement. He guides us through the winds of change and the stinging rain of disappointment. Most of the time we come out of the storm with a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and better prepared for the next challenge on the horizon. In the end my friends that is more satisfying than free chocolate on a rainy night.
In His Service,
