Georgia RoadsBOMA-Atlanta Supports the Transporation Investment Act

Recently, the BOMA-Atlanta Board of Directors--at the recommendation of the Government Affairs Committee--determined that BOMA-Atlanta will support efforts under the Transportation Investment Act of 2010 (TIA), including the passage of a transportation special purpose local option sales tax (TSPLOST) in our region. The TIA creates the opportunity for residents to vote on a penny sales tax to support transportation improvements throughout the Atlanta region. In July 2012, residents will decide whether or not to approve a penny sales tax to support these projects. If the tax is approved by voters, all funds raised will stay in our 10-county region and can be used to support a wide range of projects that would combat congestion.

To find out how you can support this effort and to get more information, visit BOMA-Atlanta's VOTERVOICE grassroots advocacy webpage.
