BOMA-Atlanta TOBY Tour and Workshop
(June 21) The BOMA-Atlanta TOBY Tour and Workshop is a new opportunity that takes attendees on behind-the scenes tours of two member buildings that recently won TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) awards. In addition to the tours, attendees will learn from building management, engineers and owners about what it takes to win in TOBY competition, as well as the value that owners and tenants place on TOBY winning buildings. This hands-on workshop is a must for anyone interested in entering their building in future TOBY competitions.

Medical Office Building SIG Breakfast

(Wednesdays, July 6-27) This online course covers a variety of sustainability topics, green building best practices, and LEED fundamentals. The course topics are tailored to assist industry professionals in understanding the key concepts of LEED and the essentials to pass the Green Associate exam. Enrolled participants receive comprehensive training as it relates to the LEED Rating Systems, green building design concepts, and strategies. Instructors also provide an overview on recommended study methods, exam-taking skills, and practice questions for the LEED Green Associate professional exam.
Building Design and Maintenance
(July 12) In this course, you will cover the characteristics, uses, and properties of common building materials, as well as building regulations, codes, and standards. You will learn to compare building system components and to identify appropriate inspection and maintenance techniques. You will develop the knowledge to establish procedures and standards for monitoring building operations, preventive maintenance and cleaning.
Green Real Estate Network: July Breakfast
(July 19) The Green Real Estate Network is for individuals who want to further their knowledge of green and sustainable practices. These breakfasts allow attendees to network with leaders in green and learn more about sustainability in the commercial real estate industry.
Joint Critical Infrastructure Symposium
(July 20) The Department of Homeland Security's Office of Infrastructure Protection, in partnership with the FBI and InfraGard, is hosting five regionally based events across the Nation focused on matters of critical infrastructure protection and resilience. Each symposium will draw from the expertise of key players in the critical infrastructure protection arena to inform and encourage open dialogue among participants from DHS and FBI; State and local government; regional consortiums; and the private sector.
Law and Risk Management
(July 20) This course will provide you with a foundation in the basic principles of law and risk management. In addition to covering leasing, the course covers important issues concerning torts, contracts, employer/employee relations, property rights and environmental law. The course describes the risk management process, covering assessment of loss exposures and handling daily risks that property managers encounter.
