National award winning Santa Ynez author, Sandy Nathan, will be at The Book Loft in Solvang Sunday, July 13 at 3 pm. She will read from and sign her latest book, Numenon: A Tale of Mysticism & Money. The novel pits the world's richest man against an ancient Native American shaman. It's Wall Street meets Dances with Wolves with some Steven King thrown in.
Numenon is grabbing attention before being released. It won two national awards prepublication: USA Book News' Best Books for Visionary Fiction and The National Indie Excellence Award for Religious Fiction.

Will Duane had it all. Head of Numenon, the vast, multinational corporation he founded, Will was the richest man on the planet and made more money with every breath. Still in his prime at sixty-three, he had the looks, the women, and the wherewithal to be completely on top of the world.
But a force he could not identify pursued Will Duane. A dark and destructive power lurked just beyond his awareness, ready to overpower him whenever he was weak. The stalker.
Driven by his need to win back the love of a mysterious woman, Will takes his top execu-tives to the Meeting, a weeklong spiritual retreat in the New Mexico desert. It is in the sacred Mogollon Bowl, that the ancient and ageless shaman known as Grandfather leads the retreat.
