Dear GCSC Members:
As the posting of the OSHA's Form 300, Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses comes due on February 1st, we are reminded to begin the injury record submission process in advance of our Annual Safety Excellence Awards Program. As an Owner or Contractor Members of the Gulf Coast Safety Council, you are eligible and encouraged to participate in the Program.
The Contractor Safety Excellence Awards Program is designed to publicly recognize your safety successes along with your industry peers. The 2011 Awards Packet, including application and schedule of events, is available on the GCSC website located at www.gulfcoastsafetycouncil.com. Applications must be submitted electronically and include 3 digital pictures of your employees working safely, along with your company logo and a brief description of employee involvement in safety activities. The deadline for submission of applications is February 28, 2012.
The GCSC 12th Annual Safety Excellence Awards Banquet will be held the evening of Wednesday, May 16th, 2012. Attendees often express appreciation for the opportunity to be recognized and the motivation they derive to improve safety performance. Reserving seats in advance allows managers to select employees who demonstrate outstanding safety commitment and show their value as key individuals in the organization. Consider reserving a table to show support for your top safety performers. They will appreciate it.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for companies wanting their company name and logo to appear in the program, and on a banner in the banquet room. Sponsorship includes priority seating the night of the Awards Banquet. Please complete your sponsorship request on the electronic reservation form.
