In this great passage from the prophet, God makes the promise of a new relationship with humanity that forms the backdrop to the events of Holy Week. Everything that happens from here on is a fulfillment of that great promise.

Presbyterian Women Annual Missions Tea Tickets On Sale
You're invited to Presbyterian Women's Annual Missions Tea on Sunday, April 15, from 2 - 4 p.m. This year's theme is a Mad Hatter Garden Party! The speaker will be PHPC member and professional counselor Clare Chaney. She will speak on "The Healing Power of Laughter." The afternoon will also include a high tea and a silent auction. First Friday Tickets On Sale
Join us Friday, April 13, at 11:45 a.m. in Jubilee Hall for a presentation by Branch B. Rickey, the President of the Pacific Coast League of Minor League Baseball. Tickets are on sale in the Atrium this Sunday, March 25, and April 1. Find more information online here.

Last Sunday For "God's Story::My Story"
This four-week journey through Scripture and our own lives will give you tools for the spiritual discipline of seeing and telling how our own stories intersect with God's overarching epic of everlasting redemption. Led by Rev. Elizabeth McLean, this course meets for its last class this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in N229.

Featured Holy Week Opportunity: Evening Prayer and Lenten Readings by J. Barrie Shepherd

 

PHPC is excited to welcome preacher, poet, and author, J. Barrie Shepherd on Monday and Tuesday evenings of Holy Week, April 2 and 3.

 

Dr. Shepherd is a native of Great Britain, and he was minister of the historic First Presbyterian Church in New York City. Shepherd has preached and lectured at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, and other universities, colleges, and seminaries, as well as in distinguished pulpits across the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Africa. His notable books include Faces at the Cross: A Lent and Easter Collection of Poetry and Prose and Whatever Happened to Delight?: Preaching the Gospel in Poetry and Parables
