Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, New Member Sunday
8:15 a.m. Chapel
9:30 and 11 a.m. Sanctuary

Sermon: Installing Skylights: A Spiritual Discipline
Four friends so believed in Jesus' ability to bring healing and wholeness to their paralyzed friend that they literally tore off the roof of another's home to get him into Jesus' presence. To this day, Jesus stands ready to heal that which paralyzes us and those we love. The question of faith in action is this: what would you do to get yourself and/or your friend into the presence of Jesus?
Preaching:
Rev. Elizabeth McLean

Music: The Sanctuary Choir will sing "Hallelujah (from Mount of Olives)" by Ludwig van Beethoven at the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.

Parenting with Love and Logic
Led by Licensed Psychological Associate and Mesquite ISD Behavior Specialist Kelly Smith
in Jubilee Hall B
Effective parenting centers on love: love that is not permissive and does not tolerate disrespect, but also love that is powerful enough to allow kids to make mistakes and live with the consequences.  Mistakes have logical consequences.  When accompanied by empathy, consequences hit home with mind-changing power.  This class will help parents raise respectful, responsible kids.
