Fourth Sunday of Advent
8:15 in the Chapel 9:30 and 11 a.m. services in the Sanctuary
Sermon: "Advent Conspiracy: Love All"
When Jesus loved, he loved in ways never imagined. Though rich, he became poor to love the poor, the forgotten, the overlooked and the sick. He played to the margins. By spending less at Christmas, we have the opportunity to join him in giving resources to those who need help the most. When Advent Conspiracy first began four churches challenged this simple concept to its congregations. The result raised more than a half million dollars to aid those in need. One less gift. One unbelievable present in the name of Christ.
Preaching: Dr. Blair Monie
Christmas Music Sunday The Sanctuary Choir, orchestra, and organ will bring the glorious music of the season in the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services this Sunday. Emmy Award winning composer Gary Fry will be here to conduct the premiere of a new Gloria commissioned for Preston Hollow by David and Miranda Lind. They will also present "My Dancing Day" arranged by Gary Fry and "The First Noel" arranged by Arthur Harris.

Grief Support this Wednesday, December 21
Faith and Grief Luncheon PHPC, in conjunction with Faith Presbyterian Hospice, will host a Faith and Grief Luncheon on Wednesday. These luncheons allow those going through the grieving process to circle together and be strengthened by food, Scripture, prayers, and reflection. The next luncheon is Wednesday, December 21 from noon to 1 in Jubilee Hall. The luncheons are free and open to the public; however, reservations are required by December 19. To register, call 214-413-1597, or register online here.
The Longest Night Candlelight Memorial Service On Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Chapel we will host a service of remembrance for those who have lost a loved one. This special service has provided many with comfort and peace during the Christmas season when the emptiness of loss rings out with the memories and passing of those held dear. Sharing this service with others of like heart can be solace for the season. A reception in the Parlor will follow the service.
