A new year, with a new Congress and a new crop of policymakers at the statehouse, will put the nation's health law through another stress test with ongoing legal challenges, repeal attempts and efforts to pull back funding. Improving the Mental Health of NH's Children's and Their Families: Checking In Mid-Theme
The Endowment for Health recently completed a mid-point review of its newest theme, Improving the Mental Health of NH's Children and Their Families, originally launched in Program Year 2008, after more than a year of planning. Program staff and our community partners have focused on efforts to create an integrated and coordinated system of mental health delivery for children and their families - one that links the multitude of child-serving systems to offer high-quality care using researched-based interventions. At the same time, the foundation's work in this theme continues to focus on building the state's capacity to advocate on behalf of children and families, as well as necessary children's mental health policy change. Workforce Diversity a Key Priority in Social Cultural Theme
Increasing the cultural effectiveness of health care organizations is a critical component to reducing social cultural barriers to health. While national and statewide trends show significant investment in the existing health care work force, the Endowment for Health wants to ensure that our talent base and resources are tapped and utilized to their fullest - with an eye toward diversity as well.

Safety Net Loan Fund Webinar
NCB Capital Impact will host an informational webinar about the Safety Net Loan Fund on February 16 at 2 p.m. The webinar will offer an update on the status of the Safety Net Loan Fund, a refresher on lending program basics, what kinds of projects and organizations are eligible, and how to apply.
The Safety Net Loan Fund is a joint effort of the Endowment for Health and NCB Capital Impact and offers loans to safety net health providers and other essential safety net services for short term working capital.
