Beginner/Common Pitfalls

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a Special Open Door Forum on the 2011 Physician Quality Reporting System (previously known as the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative or PQRI) and eRx Incentive programs. This Special Open Door Forum will focus on:

 

   1.            Physician Quality Reporting for the Beginner focusing on the following topics:
 
         

          -  A General Overview of the Physician Quality Reporting System;
          Where to find resources for Physician Quality Reporting measures; 

          -  Reporting options for the 2011 Physician Quality Reporting - Claims, Registries, EHR,
              GPRO I and GPRO II;
 
          -  2011 reporting and submission periods;

          Choosing measures to report including individual and measures groups;
           Common office processes for successful reporting;
          
-  Finding your eligible population; and 

          -  Steps for reporting measures via claims 
 

    2.      Common Pitfalls with Physician Quality Reporting:
 
 

          -  Missing your eligible population 
 
         -  Reporting incorrect information - quality data codes, individual National Provider Identification
               numbers; and 
 
         -  Frequency of reporting.

            

Following the presentation, the telephone lines will be opened to allow participants to ask questions of the CMS subject matter experts.
