| All Aboard! 2013 Ski Train Rolls! - March 23 | |
Tickets on sale October 1st. NEW online option! |
Don't be left at the station! Monday, Oct 1st tickets will go on sale for the best winte  r day in Alaska. Save March 23th for the annual NSAA Ski Train. We'll be going north to Curry. Tickets are $110 for members and $140 for non-members. It's members-only purchase until November 5th, but members may buy a limited number of tickets for their non-member guests before then at $140 each. NEW THIS YEAR - online purchase of tickets! Yes, from the comfort of your home you can purchase tickets and we will mail them to you in a few weeks. So get your group together. Select which style seats you'd like - recliner seats, booth-style table seating or the booth-style table in one of the party cars. You can still download the order form and send it by mail, fax or email. We ill choose your actual seasts for you. Better yet, starting Monday, Oct 1st stop by the office between 10am and 5pm M-F and select your own choice seats. |

It's time for the Annual Meeting! Time to check out some new gear at the swap, mingle with friends, enjoy good music and food at the potluck (bring a side), check out NSAA programs, vote for new board members, approve some NSAA By-Law changes, admire our photo contest winners, and win one of the many great DOOR PRIZES. It's all happening Saturday, November 3!
Gear swap is happening in the Bunker. Bring your gear for check in from 2:30-4:00. Leave the selling to us. Doors open from 4:00-6:00 for gear sales. Waxing Demo (for your skis) at 5:00pm in the bunker. After the swap, come to the Chalet for music, food, and fun. Dinner begins at 6:00. Meeting and door prizes begin at 6:30. As always, NSAA will provide brats, drinks and desserts - you provide sides & salads. Fun for the whole family!

First Tracks Camp second annual on-snow camp is happening in Fairbanks October 25-28, the weekend before high school skiing starts. It's OPEN TO ALL ALASKA HIGH SCHOOL SKIERS and groups, teams, and individuals from all over the state.

| NSAA Board Nominations Open | | Help shape the direction of Nordic skiing in Anchorage | |
ELECTION NOTICE
The NSAA membership will have the opportunity to elect three board members at the Annual Meeting on November 3, 2012. There will be two returning board members and one vacancy. The Board Nominating Committee is currently considering nominations for these positions. If you wish to be nominated or to nominate someone else, please email a letter of interest to Tim Stone, Chairman of the Nominating Committee or write him c/o NSAA 203 W. 15th Ave, #204 Anchorage 99501.
Nominations must be received by the committee no later than November 1, 2012. All current (2012-2013) members are eligible to vote at the annual meeting.

| Bylaw Change | | Changing Article X (Gaming Activities) | |
Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage will be presenting a small change to Article X of the
current Bylaws at the Annual Membership meeting at Kincaid Park Chalet on November 3, 2012 . This change will bring our Bylaws inline with the State of Alaska Department of Law's requirements to obtain a raffle permit. Current NSAA members will be asked to approve this change on November 3rd.
