NSAA scholarships were awarded to Dimond High student Sara Falconer, Chugiak High student Isaac Lammers, South High students Alexandra Cress and Kianna Wika, Service High students Jordon Pruszenski and Forrest Tarbath and West High student Doug Watts

Congratulations and good luck to all NSAA college bound student/athletes. The NSAA Scholarship Fund is supported by member donations and proceeds from Anchorage Cup Race Series. It is a fund of the Alaska Community Foundation.

West Anchorage District Plan

Plane landingThe new West Anchorage District Plan is in the last stage of the planning process - a public hearing before the Assembly on Tuesday, June 5th at 6pm.

Included in the Plan is a land exchange between the Municipality and the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. This exchange could allow the airport to acquire Pt. Woroznof Park and a section of the Coastal Trail running through it for development of another North-South Runway or other industrial development.

If you are interested in the future of the Coastal Trail please make your voice heard at the public hearing at the Loussac Library 1st floor Assembly Chambers, Tuesday June 5th at 6pm. You may also email your assembly person HERE.

We Need Your Help!

 KIncaid Flower Rings

Do you bike, hike or roller ski at Kincaid Park? We need help watering those beautiful flower rings in front of the Chalet. Those color-packed rings are NSAA's adopt-a-garden project. We'd love to add you to our list of folks that help keep them beautiful. We will be planting tonight and need help watering soon.

If you can spare a few minutes at the end of your workout give us a call 276-7609 or  send us an email.

Beware of moose!

This time of year mamma moose are fiercely defending their new born calves. Be extremely careful biking especially when there is limited line-of-sight. CLICK HERE for an Alaska Dispatch article about recent encounters.

Welcome to Team AlaskaJO2008 Logo

The 2025 Alaska Junior Olympics team is taking shape as several local coaches have added members to their rosters. NSAA Adult Ski School director Warren Souther and wife Rachel welcomed Maria Elizabeth Souther to their team in April. USSA Nordic Manager Joey Caterinicho and fellow ANR coach Ja Dorris added their first skier to the men's team, Adam Jason Dorris. Their girls team is thrilled. On the same day former South High and current ANR Coach Sara Miller and Paul Kari also added a men's team with the addition of Reece Kari

Congratulations to all! Team Alaska is looking strong with these new additions.
