Summer Trail Projects
Better Trails = Better Skiing
Join NSAA and a committed band of volunteers to help make the skiing even better next year. Our plans for this summer's trail work include: - June 8, 6pm: reseed new biathlon range. Can you help? Contact James D.
- Lekisch Trail (2.5 & 5km) repair will begin early June (watch for trail closures). We'll need volunteers in late June thru July.
- Sisson Trail reroute due to airport construction will begin later in the summer.
- Kincaid Chalet Flower Rings: planting June 6, we're looking for help with summer watering.
These trails will be closed intermittently throughout the summer to allow for safe trail work and successful grass reseeding. If you're interested in helping, send us an email. |

Adaptive Winter Sports Equipment
Support a lifelong skier: Ira Edwards Ira Edwards, a well-known skier, coach, Rossignal Rep, and State Park Ranger was severely in jured last year while clearing hazard trees off a ski trail. Being wheelchair bound has not stopping him from getting outdoors. Check out Ira's BLOG and see how his positive attitude and determination is an inspiration for us all. Ira has recently been chosen as one of High Fives Foundation's Winter Empowerment Athletes. High Fives Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for athletes who have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing their dream in the winter action sports community. Check out High Fives Foundation's website to see how they are helping to purchase adaptive outdoor equipment for Ira and other athletes. Look for a link in the headline banner to contribute to Ira's fund.
