Come See the Changes at ElkhornSlough.org

new citizens

Just weeks ago we launched a new look. ElkhornSlough.org has long been a great resource for information on the Reserve and the Foundation, and now the revamped site offers that same great information and more. We've streamlined the navigation to help site visitors find the information they are seeking, we've added an entire new section called "Slough Life" that provides information on the abundance of life this habitat supports, and there are more photos on each page and even some fun games to play. The best part, we'll keep adding important (and fun too) material to the web site to ensure it continues to be an outstanding resource you've come to expect.

Share Your Photos in Our 2011 Calendar

Want to visit the slough everyday in 2011? Our Elkhorn Slough calendar can help you do just that! The Photo Contest for the 2011 Calendar is still open and we are seeking a range of photos showing the diversity of our watershed. Photos can feature landscapes, birds, animals, and even your hiking or kayaking trip as long as it is highlighting the magnificent place we call the Elkhorn Slough. Selected photos will be printed in our limited edition 2011 calendar.

Connecting you to the land we conserve and restore is one of our greatest pleasures. Each fall (and spring) we arrange a variety of events to share our work, land, and accomplishments with our members and supporters. We have both member-only and public walks scheduled for our lovely Long Valley property this September. There is no fee for these events, but registration is required to help us provide a quality experience for all who come.

Events for October and November will include kayaking, hiking, and birding. Continue to visit the calendar for updates on events.
