Cultural Events
in May
Who says there's no culture at the beach? Don't believe it!
Right here in Manzanita every third Saturday a local or regional published author reads from his/her latest work and takes questions from the audience. Events are organized by the Manzanita Writers' Series and happen at the Hoffman Center on Laneda Avenue. Aspiring and emerging writers participate in an open mic session afterward.
This month on May 15 Bryan Harnetiaux will conduct a playwriting workshop from 9AM-12:30PM and that evening will read from his play National Pastime.
And on May 22nd the Manzanita Film Series will premier the academy award-winning film The Hurt Locker. For the full calendar of Hoffman
