Killing the Conspiracy Against Your Dreams Part 4

"He allowed no man to do them wrong; in fact, He reproved kings for their sakes, saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.  Moreover, HE CALLED for a famine upon the land [of Egypt]; He cut off every source of bread.  He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant.  His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,  Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true, the word of the Lord tried and tested him."   -The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

What do you do when God has called a "famine" in your life?

How does your faith respond when every source you have relied upon is cut off?

Joseph's feet were hurt in fetters and laid in chains so he could not make progress.

Some famines kill people.  They leave people destitute, hopeless, starving, shameful and exhausted to fight for what God has promised.

But some famines make people and are "called" to push the potential of that dream out of obscurity.  Isaac sowed in famine and received 100 times more than he planted in the same year.

No matter how much you have failed, if you return to Him, God will allow no man to do you wrong.

You must endeavor to let nothing restrain you from the calling of God (that is calling you upward in Christ Jesus.)  Your ability to fight for your marriage, children and dreams are proportionate to your ability to fight for the anointing that is on your life.

Too often, we spend our entire lives trying to change things that only God can change; trying to destroy things off our lives that can only be destroyed by complete submission to His power and anointing.

God anointed you for dreams, visions and dominion.

You are not just anointed for occasions.  The anointing is His strength, help, power and presence to carry your dream from conception to reality.

Today, I want to give you the third of six things that will kill the conspiracy against your dreams:

3.      POWER UP WITH PARTNERS

"And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and as their nets were [at the point of] breaking, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink" (Lk. 5:6-7.)

The blessing designed to drown your greatest expectation was never intended just for you.

All dreams require partnership.  Partnership with a spouse, society, community, city, members, employees, mentors, etc.  Therefore, you cannot live your life in suspicion or paranoia of everyone.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: "Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great."

If Peter doesn't have partners, the biggest catch of his life IS lost.

TD Jakes said recently: "There is power in partnership, but your partners need to have their own boat.  If you are only one with a boat, you are in trouble (paraphrased.)"

In other words, if you are the only one that can get and hold a job, you have a problem; if you are the only one with influence or that lends money, you are in trouble.

King Solomon wrote this: "Plans fail when there is no counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" (Pr 15:22.)

Joseph WAS HIRED as a partner or "adviser" to implement a plan to save Egypt from famine.

  • Who or what are you an adviser to?
  • When was the last time you shared A PLAN with a prospective employer, client or church leader to solve a problem?
  • Who are your partners?

Joseph didn't just have a dream, gift or anointing; He had a plan.

But you can have a plan, with no advisers to implement it.

And some people have dreams, but lack plans.  They say:

I want a good job; but what kind of job do you want?

I want to own a house; but how is your credit? What is your debt to income ratio; have you prequalified yet; if not, what do you need to do in order to qualify; are you frequenting open houses?

I want a business; but what kind of business? What can you sell that you know; what can you sell that people will come back for; what would be the name of the business; what would be your mission statement and vision; what type of business license is needed?

I want to get into college; but which college? What do you want to major in; what are their admission or SAT requirements; what was your SAT score; what behaviors do you need to change to position yourself to get in?

I want to be a good parent; but in what areas do you struggle in parenting? What habits need to be broken or formed?

Today, stop complaining about what you don't have and devise a plan to attain it.

Great leaders have a plan and partners in place even when the worst season is coming.

Stay tuned for the final part next week.
