"Now Joseph had a dream and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him still more. And he said to them, Listen now and hear, I pray you, this dream that I have dreamed: We [brothers] were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, "my sheaf" arose and stood upright, and behold, your "sheaves" stood round about my "sheaf" and bowed down! His brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us? Or are you going to have us as your subjects and dominate us? And they hated him all the more for his dreams and for what he said. And when they saw him far off, even before he came near to them, THEY CONSPIRED TO KILL HIM. And they said one to another, See, here comes this dreamer and master of dreams. So come on now, let us kill him and throw his body into some pit; then we will say [to our father], Some wild and ferocious animal has devoured him; and we shall see what will become of his dreams! -The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
There is a conspiracy to kill what's inside of you.
The enemy wants to assassinate every goal, passion, aspiration, plan, success, call and promise in your life to see what will become of your dreams.
Because your life can be transformed by the power of a dream and harvest .
WHAT IS A SHEAF? In Leviticus 23:10 God told Moses: "Tell the Israelites, When you have come into the land I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest."
The firstfruits were always the choicest, the foremost, the first, the best; the preeminent of all that was to follow. So what Joseph actually dreamed was that his planned harvest (results), firstfruits or "sheaf" would arise and ALL nations would bow to it.
At 17, God showed him the famine that was coming to Egypt and that the failing economy or recession that would exhaust and starve the land would bow to his leadership (dreams, firstfruit/tithe and harvest plan.)
From the beginning of time, "giving" has always had the power to make economic systems bow.
People are remembered not for being rich, but for what they contributed to society while they were alive. No matter what your net worth is, you will be remembered for how you radically changed or inspired the world, not for how much money you made.
Joseph's entire destiny rested on a dream.
And God allowed Joseph to share his dream (prematurely) with those who did not appreciate it, to move him forcefully to a place that would promote his gift (dreams) and preserve his family's destiny.
· If JOSEPH does not dream, he stays in undeveloped Canaan where hunger and lack is coming to wipe out his family and he is NOT RECOGNIZED.
· If he does not dream, he is not betrayed by those he loves, thrown into a pit, sold into slavery and separated from his father.
· If he does not dream, he is not falsely accused of rape and thrown into prison (by unlawful force)
· BUT IF HE DOES NOT DREAM, AN ENTIRE NATION'S INHEIRITANCE AND PROMISE DIES IN FAMINE.
Never underestimate the power of a dream.
Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream of becoming a great leader that, when attained, inspired his dream of social equality and justice. Abraham Lincoln had a dream for our nation to be "ONE" Nation under God. Father Abraham had a dream in Gen 13:14-18 and God promised him: "For all the land which you see, I will give to you."
God puts a dream in our heart.
And sometimes He has to move you into your anointing by unlawful force or by allowing an injustice, loss or mistake to radically inspire change in your life.
The Kingdom from the beginning of time has ALWAYS suffered violence. RIGHT NOW, maybe the dream, marriage, career or ministry in your life has "suffered" violence; maybe it has been subject to repeated assassination attempts by the enemy.
Now is the time to become violent (in the conspiracy against your dreams) and take it by force.
The violence Joseph suffered was at his own expense (his own insensitivity and lack of maturity.) But he was still destined to become President.
And because all things work together "for good" for those who love God, God worked it out for him and prepared him through the pit and prison for the palace.
Even in spite of your "little foxes" (habits), God can still work it out and promote you to the palace.
When He has called you to be the FIRST ONE (The first one in the family to start and sustain a business, the first one to graduate from college, the first one whose marriage doesn't end in divorce, etc.), sometimes God will prepare you in a dungeon of isolation, betrayal and confusion for the palace you are called to.
In Genesis 50:20, Joseph said, "As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day."
It doesn't matter what people think or devise against you.
What people thought would leave you for dead or destroy you, God MEANT for your good.
As you work today, may the size of your contribution be a declaration of greater things hoped for; a silencing of the taunt of that Goliath in your life; A STUNNING PROCLAMATION THAT THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR "YOUR" GOOD.
Because the unemployment rate and economy crisis in the world was not designed to destroy you; it was called to inspire creativity in you; to liberate you from the prison you are in.
Be the first one to prove it.
