"[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! WAIT and HOPE FOR and EXPECT the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord." - King David
What would have become of me, had I not believed I would see a miracle in my circumstance.
What would have become of me, had I not believed God for supernatural healing when doctors gave me up. What would have become of me had I not believed God for my marriage to survive. What would have become of me, had I not believed the best in my spouse or children. What would have become of me, had I not believed God could raise what was dead. What would have become of me, had I not believed I could forgive the unforgiveable or rise from failure and defeat:
· What would have become of my dreams
· What would have become of my hopes
· What would have become of my anointing
· What would have become of my will, strength and faith
· What would have become of my business or ministry had I not believed?
A man without a future is a man without a destination; a man without a destination, is a man without a dream.
Louisa May Alcott once wrote: "He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak. Strong convictions precede great actions.
We see this illustrated in Haggai 2, where God encouraged His remnant to dream (and work) again, rebuild the temple, reestablish worship as a priority and receive the future blessing and position He promised:
"And I will shake all nations and the desire and the precious things of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts. The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. The latter glory of this house [with its successor, to which Jesus came] shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace and prosperity, says the Lord of hosts." Hag 2:7-9
In the midst of a relocation, cash and job shortage, God reminded His people: ALL THE GOLD AND SILVER IS MINE.
You see, the latter state of what you see can be greater than your past. Somehow, someway, if you endure to see it, the latter state blessing will come through (and prevail):
· The latter state of your marriage
· The latter state of your health
· The latter state of your children
· The latter state of your business, career, ministry and dreams will be greater than the former years.
That means the best of His glory has yet to be revealed to us as sons and daughters. This is not a fantasy or mere wish. You can pray and press into it. The succession of the house or life that Jesus invades makes it greater.
In the latter state blessing:
· There is peace and prosperity
· Anger is gone
· Bitterness is gone
· Poverty and lack is destroyed.
· Precious things that belong to other people (their trust, their hearts, forgiveness, labor, wealth, clients, cities, teams, businesses, etc.) come into our lives.
In his book, Total Forgiveness, RT Kendall writes:
"It may be far easier to forgive when we know that those who maligned or betrayed us are sorry for what they did, but if I must have this knowledge before I can forgive, I may never have the victory over my bitterness."
Today, stop dwelling on the former state of things.
No matter how great things were, they cannot be compared to what is coming.
Your old normal is gone. The consequence of your decisions has made that clear: Grieve for your old life and let it die. The cloud has lifted; God is moving you upward and forward. Embrace the new normal and watch God tear down walls and do great and amazing things in your life.
As you lead today, declare:
· I will see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living.
· I will see the Lord's miracles in this body, marriage, business and church.
· I will see God do something that exceeds my greatest critics.
· I will wait, hope for and expect God to what modern medicine and society has not seen before.
· All things are still possible with God.
Do you believe?
