"There comes a special moment in everyone's life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission-a mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment he finds greatness.  It is his finest hour."

"But even in those days, says the Lord, I will not make a full and complete end of you. And when your people say, Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us? then you shall answer them, As you have forsaken Me, says the Lord, and have served strange gods in your land, so shall you serve strangers (gods) in a land that is not yours...Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go? And though the waves of the sea toss and shake themselves, yet they cannot prevail [against the feeble grains of sand which God has ordained by nature to be sufficient for His purpose]; though [the billows] roar, yet they cannot pass over that [barrier]. [Is not such a God to be reverently feared and worshiped?]" -The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

In the worst season of your life, when everything is shaking, roaring and failing around you, God still refuses to make a full and complete end of you.

God has ordained His grace to be sufficient for you; that whatever is shaking and tossing itself against you, cannot prevail. And His analogy was powerful:

"I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go."

Now we know that biblically, sand was often used to describe the population or promises of God's people:

  • In Genesis 28:14, God told Abraham: "And your offspring shall be as [countless as] the dust or sand of the ground, and you shall spread abroad to the west and the east and the north and the south; and by you and your Offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed and bless themselves."
  • In Genesis 32:12, before Jacob reunited with his brother who once sought to kill him, He reminded God: "And You said, I will surely do you good and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude."

In this season, a very common question people have asked God is: "Why is all of this happening to me?" But God is building unshakeable people and faith. He's shaking me to get to the good treasure still hidden in this earthen vessel under all the hurt, pain, mistakes, junk and sin residues in my life.

He promised to a thousand generations, "As the sand cannot be measured, neither will your inheritance, dreams and resources be measured."

The integrity of what God put inside of you refuses to wash away with the currents of life.

The blessing of the seed (in you) is relentless, because it is eternal, generational and supernatural. What you are learning must be passed on to those coming behind you.

It is interesting that nothing prevails against even the feeblest grains of sand. No matter how weak and insignificant you feel, your life was designed to be a barrier against depression, fear, poverty, sickness, unemployment, underemployment, divorce or whatever has destroyed your predecessors.

Deuteronomy 33:19 says:  "They shall call the people unto Mount [Carmel]; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall suck the abundance of the seas and the treasures hid in the sand."

Our righteousness produces abundance. And the sand that refuses to wash away from the seashore always hides a treasure.

RIGHT NOW, there is hidden treasure in your circumstance for others. Don't deprive me and world of it. Tell others how when everything in you wanted to quit, you got up every morning and stayed in the marriage; tell others how you stayed in the business, stayed in college, stayed on that job and pressed into your calling when no one believed in you; Inspire us with how you kept giving, praying, trusting, believing and dreaming that nothing was impossible AND DID IT.

You say your marriage is destroyed? Then why is it still standing after being hit with the enemy's best shot?

You say your career is over or at a dead end? Then why does God keep giving you fresh new ideas that transform companies and those you work with?

You say your life is ruined and unrecoverable? Then why are you still reading the Word - the Gospel - the "good news?"

God knew we would face much bad news in a lifetime. So He called you and I to arise out of our mess as "messengers;" messengers sent on a mission to deliver good news; To deliver hope in hopelessness, strength in weaknesses, blessing in cursing, unity in disunity, an incurable need for results in unproductive workforces.

King David wrote: "You number and record my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle-are they not in Your book? Then shall my enemies turn back in the day that I cry out; this I know, for God is for me." - Ps 56:8

It's exciting to know that God has recorded every season you wandered under the radar without reward and recognition; that He put every tear drop in a bottle and remembers them to vindicate you. He is determined to vindicate every tear you shed about that cancer or diagnosis, every tear you shed about that divorce, that failing marriage and attack on your children.

God said vengeance is mine. I WILL REPAY.

Not man. Not your employer. Not Medicare. Not the government. Not your family or pastor.  GOD WILL.

Today, let Him take every defeat, every broken heart, every shattered dream and black eye the devil gave you and transform you into a messenger with "grains of sand."

You are still called to be whatever God put in your heart to be whether people recognize you or not.

Ask yourself, "What am I a boundary against? What am I designed to thwart or restrain from destroying the lives of people?"

And be the best at it.
