DEAR READERS: I will be returning from sabbatical in December 2010. I will continue to blend guest authors and remixed transcripts from previous Champions BYTES with new, fresh content in 2011. Thank you for your faithful reading and forwarding of Champions BYTES in my absence. - Ed Norwood
"He brought [Israel] forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon the people. For He [earnestly] remembered His holy word and promise to Abraham His servant." - The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
When God makes a promise to you, it is His marriage vow to you.
It is a commitment that He will not leave you, until He has done ALL that He has promised. It is an unchangeable oath that says, "I love you; I'm right here to do what I vowed years ago when I first saw you. Whatever I promised, I'll keep my word, for better or for worse, sickness or for poorer, as long as you shall live."
When God gives you a promise, it is a commitment to perform a specific act, no matter what happens in the future. And His promise has nothing to do with your physical limitations, strength, or ability to equally return the favor.
RIGHT NOW, God is looking for an opportunity to do what He promised you in a striking triumphant manner.
Charles Swindoll once wrote:
"We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
What impossible situation in your life are you facing right now?
God brought His people out of Egypt with great riches; but He allowed them to go through Egypt (a seemingly hopeless situation) to solve a problem: They were broke without any job skills.
God always uses what is difficult and impossible to add value to what seems worthless (and over.)
No one knew who the Israelites were until God led them out of Egypt and across the Red Sea on "dry land" with a strong hand. The oppression and hardship they experienced prepared them for levels of resilience, faith and fame they never knew existed.
The author writes: "And there was not ONE FEEBLE PERSON among them..." That word "feeble" means NO ONE was: bowed down, subdued, cast down, failed, overthrown, weak, faint, overwhelmed, abandoned, helpless, discouraged, forsaken, limp, lazy, relaxed, OR slack.
Today, I declare there shall not be one feeble person in your place of influence.
God is bringing you out of what you are going through today, richer, stronger, faster, better, wiser and healthier.
There is value in your place of employment. There is hope for that marriage and church you are building.
Don't allow unbelief or distrust make you waver (doubtingly question) what God has promised you. This is your season to emerge stronger and live empowered (not entitled) by faith; to increase and be fully satisfied and assured that God is able and mighty to keep His word and to do all that He has promised.
There will not be one feeble bone in your body:
· No residue from your past.
· No side effects from your diagnosis or treatment.
· No condemnation from your forgiven sin.
· Not one feeble person on your team.
· Not one wasted hour, project or idea you lead.
Today, dreams and work ethic are being strengthened in your spirit. Loyalty, commitment and expectation are being restored among your staff.
Don't mind the skeptics.
They are some of your greatest assets.
