What takes ten years to build can be destroyed in ten minutes.

Demolition is always quicker than construction.  And the swing of a wrecking ball is generally uncontrollable.  Esau sold his purpose, destiny and inheritance for a single meal (indulging of the flesh), then spent the rest of his years uncontrollably in rebellion, regret and bitterness.

Wrong decisions (resulting from pride, selfishness, resentment and anger) can contaminate your life and those you lead. What you do to yourself has a critical effect on multitudes that God has called to you.

So God wants to deal with every failure, weakness, bitter or angry root in our lives to protect the lives of those entrusted to us. WHY? Because, where you go in life determines where many others go in life; where you stay in life determines where others may stay as well.

• Imagine where Israel would've been had not Moses came along and challenged Pharaoh to let God's people go.
• Imagine the size of children that would have descended from Goliath to oppress the future generations of Israel had not David responded to his challenge ("Give me a man") and killed the giant.

THERE ARE GIANTS TO SLAY ON THE ROAD TO GREATNESS!

God must heal every lame area of your life and career to preserve His original plan and destiny for your life. That word lame means limping, cripple, or halted.

• What area of your life has been halted or come to a standstill?
• What dream have you refused to pursue because of past failures, the opinion and rejection of men, defeats or fear of the uncertain?

Don't sell your future for a present (or momentary) thrill.

Don't disqualify yourself from the marathon you are running.  The Apostle Paul wrote: "And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down)." 

No matter how high your position is, there will always be rules to abide by.  If you disqualify yourself from the race you are running and give up, the enemy has won.  He has ruined your destiny, because how we leave a position (or place) is how we will be remembered.

Multiple disqualifications can stain your credibility and integrity.  If the enemy can get you to disqualify yourself in your specific city, industry or calling, he knows he can diminish your authority and limit your effectiveness to reaching people.

Every vision or dream in your heart has an appointed time.

WAIT FOR IT.  Sometimes, we think that our dream, purpose and destiny is going to happen overnight, so we try to force our way into an industry, position or calling prematurely. But when God looks at our life, and the work of our hands, He is looking to see if we can be profitable and trusted in "the world" which we currently live, move, exist and have our being.

If you cannot be faithful over what you currently have, how can ever be entrusted with MORE?

If you cannot be trusted with another man's business, how can God give you your own?

King Solomon squarely challenged people that neglect their destiny by "letting human nature take its unhindered course" in bad habits, sickness or ethics:

"He who is loose and slack in his work is brother to him who is a destroyer and he who does not use his endeavors to heal himself is brother to him who commits suicide." - Proverbs 18:9

Don't be distracted by keeping up with the Jones' or the success of those ahead of you. Use your present endeavors, dreams and position as a platform to increase your skills, knowledge and authority to lead others.

Every Word that God gives you will be tried (tested, put on trial) and purified by fire.

Today, DON'T SELL YOUR RIGHTS.  You can regain your title; repair what is broken by making redemptive decisions of purpose.  Tell yourself, "This is how I'll live; this is what I'll do, no matter what the world thinks or says." 

A faith that is not tested cannot be trusted.  

God is looking for an opportunity to show the world how His greatness can shine through in obscure and insignificant places.  You may have to prove yourself in several areas; there may be times that you think you are disqualified by the many failures you have experienced or the opportunities you have wasted.

It may seem like an eternity, but God has a plan:

"Lift up your eyes round about and see [the returning exiles, ready to rebuild Jerusalem]; all these gather together and come to you.  As I live, says the Lord, you [Zion] shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament and bind them on you as a bride does.  For your waste and desolate places and your land [once the scene] of destruction surely now [in coming years] will be too narrow to accommodate the population, and those who once swallowed you up will be far away."  -The Greatest Love Story Ever Told 

NO ONE wants an inexperienced soldier, doctor, or lawyer fighting on their behalf.
