So neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but [only] God Who makes it grow and become greater. He who plants and he who waters are equal (one in aim, of the same importance and esteem), yet each shall receive his own reward (wages), according to his own labor." - Paul of Tarsus

You will receive whatever you are willing to "labor" for.

That word "labor" involves action, behavior and deeds. It speaks of work, accomplishment, achievement, commitment, performance, production, and practice; another translation means, "To birth something."

Who and what are you "in labor" for?

What are you doing now, that will speak for you long after you're gone? Your protégés and children must be MORE powerful (skilled and empowered) than you.  But can they trust you to pass on your skill, wisdom, knowledge and exploits to them?

Sometimes, we are pregnant with no strength to bring forth the children (dreams and plans) in our womb.

Perhaps, we keep miscarrying our destiny because there is no guard over our mouth.  Miscarriage is often a process and not a single event.  As a leader, you must realize that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Inspiring words can lead and propel others connected to you to unparalleled victories. Destructive words can diminish them and your future.  Winston Churchill was able to arouse and inspire an entire nation with these words:

"Let us so carry ourselves that if the British Empire should endure a thousand years, men will still say, this was our finest hour."

This must be the cry of every leader and every generation. You defeat the purpose of your existence unless you are "in labor for others." You were created (and designed) to reproduce others, mentor others, save and liberate others; to bless others.

• Who is in your birth canal?
• Who are you pregnant with?
• If you're not pregnant, you're barren.  

Leaders must be pregnant at all times. Pregnant with purpose, pregnant with potential;  Pregnant with precious children they are raising, new followers they are transforming, fresh ideas/leaders they are leading and untapped cities (industries) they are transforming.

Don't miscarry what God has put inside of you. 

A miscarriage is a spontaneous loss of life that normally occurs during the first 13 weeks of conception.  Kingdom authority and leadership is about changing your lifestyle and doing what you promised after conception; It is about increasing the population (your influence), not fame (crowds.)

What generation, industry, group of peoples or works will follow (succeed) you when you're gone? Sure you're touching masses, but "who" specifically are you pouring yourself into for the sake of generations yet unborn?

Whatever the next generation NEEDS, flows from your life, your efforts, your leadership, your gifts, dreams, talents and exploits you produce NOW.

Today, identify your successor or descendant (seed;) identify your territory and harvest. This is the greatest time to do it. 

DECLARE:  As I "labor" today, I command the release of every harvest tied to my seed, tied to my investment, tied to you co-workers and employees. I command every plot, assignment, ambush and weapon conceived by others against me, to miscarry, abort and fail.

I decree millions, favor and funding are in MOTION for me today; Collaboration, unity and blessing among my staff members are in MOTION for me; Creativity, ideas and success comes to my subordinates and co-workers. A surplus (increase) of influence comes with NEW, PROSPECTIVE AND EXISTING clients, government officials and those with stature in high places.

Awesome things that I am completely unaware of are coming to me; therefore, contracts must bow. Sales must bow. Settlements must bow. Nations, payors, competition and promotion must bow to the integrity, authority and "labor" of those I champion and lead.

Undoubtedly, leadership is influence and the ability to get followers. Great leaders can discern greatness and draw out the gifts and talents dormant in others to get them to rise far above anything they have accomplished in the past.

How can you tell whether you are in false labor or true labor with your dream?

False labor pains (people, signs or symptoms) are unpredictable.  True labor is not.  They are more persistent and intense.  

Lead like that.
