There comes a time in our lives when we must require MORE and refuse to stay where we are. Refuse to stay in depression, refuse to stay in rejection, refuse to stay in guilt over past decisions, refuse to stay in poverty and arise from the places that are comfortable and all too familiar.
This is a place where we are willing to irrevocably surrender and set ourselves to pursue God on a new level. This is a place of dissatisfaction; where you know the level you are on requires the pressing into a greater one or you will be miserable; yet there is an obvious hindrance and struggle to get there.
There is a place in our lives where we get presumptuously successful and think that we have arrived; it is at that place we discover our need for Christ on another level, far greater than ever before.
I traveled to South Africa last year to speak and met a millionaire who said this: "The perspective I needed to make my first million, was not the same perspective I needed to make my first billion."
That word spoke volumes to me, because NOTHING FAMILIAR IN OUR LIVES PLEASES GOD. The dissatisfaction of where you are (personally, professionally and spiritually) is the birthplace for something incredible, unseen, new and powerful to arise from your life.
God pulls new levels out of us when our backs are against the wall; during difficult circumstances that require us to either walk through brick walls or remain where it is comfortable.
What is God leading you to? In one word: MORE!
No matter how much you see, no matter how much you understand, no matter how much you possess and experienced yesterday, God has MORE for you today. MORE vision, MORE exploits (miracles), MORE wisdom, MORE territory, MORE authority, MORE power, MORE passion, MORE healing and lives for you to touch.
Today, refuse to be comforted.
YOUR GIFT IS MAKING ROOM FOR YOU.
Change your perspective. This is a NEW day; you've never been here before. And an old perspective will never survive on a new level. As long as you and I live, we will ALWAYS need to adjust to rise to new, unfamiliar levels; that is, unless we expect to stay where we are for the rest of our lives.
