 "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.

"Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, NOR OF ME, a prisoner for His sake, but [*with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.  For [the proclaiming of] this [Gospel] I was appointed a herald (preacher) and an apostle (special messenger) and a teacher of the Gentiles.  And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which *I have committed [to Him] until that day." -The Apostle Paul

Speaking the Word of God and operating in your authority will always put you in the heat of the battle.

Jesus said, "Offense (and persecution) must come."  But that should not stop you from continuously speaking the truth of God's plan and destiny over your life.

So Paul boldly writes to his mentee, Timothy, "Don't be ashamed of declaring your dreams and the thoughts that God has for you; you will suffer because of what you preach, but do it with power and boldness anyhow.  Lead, build and speak into the destiny of nations whether people give you a pulpit or not."

Sometimes we are afraid to declare to society (people) what we really are called to do, because of all the failure and disappointment that we are facing.  But we must speak, live, work and dream with expectation at all times, in all seasons, whatever comes.

Your life is the product and result of what you have asked for.

For the proclamation of this Gospel, we have all been appointed something.  Paul was appointed a:

  • A Preacher
  • An Apostle (special messenger) and
  • Teacher of the Gentiles.

What have you been appointed to do?  Are you in chains (a system that binds, restrains or confines you?)

God will guard and keep (with the greatest care) your health, gift, ministry and dream during seasons where your potential seems imprisoned.

Your address is not your destiny.

Allowing a chain of timidity, fear, cowardice, doubt or uncertainty in your life will crush your ability to stand and fight for your true calling and destiny.

You must continue to do what you are called to do with great power and increasing authority.

Don't relent.  Don't settle.  No matter what your occupation or role is, whether salaried or volunteer, make sure you are doing something that pays you well in value.

I have learned that any job, project or task I take, must pay me well in both value and opportunity; in other words, it must make me prepare for something greater in my future (because preparation meets opportunity.)  The compensation will always come later when you determine to be consistent, faithful, and an authority or the best in your field.

Being paid in value (and skills) far exceeds a paycheck anyone can give me for a two-week pay period.  Because, while I can sell my earned skills and value in the marketplace, I cannot sell an earned paycheck I cashed.

Think about it, when a person leaves a company, no great legacy was ever based on what their salary was.  It is usually cemented in whom and what the leader was to the organization, society and people.  How their faith, identity, presence, wisdom, creativity, skills and value impacted and simplified the lives of people or took the organization they led from good to great.

No one cares about the money Steve Jobs earned at Apple.  They care about what he created (invented), introduced, lead, built, engineered, transformed, impacted in technology sector.  People don't sit around talking about his annual salary (which is $1), stock options, 401k or benefits package.  They talk about the new functionality of the newest iphone, ipod, Macbook Air, etc.  That leads to the following question:

What are people sitting around talking about when it comes to your life?

What's new on the market in your leadership?

Every life, every seed must yield something.  Moses told his people: "You shall surely tithe all the yield of your seed produced by your field each year."  (

Dt. 14:22)

Dictionary.com defines that word, "yield" as:

  • to produce or furnish (payment, profit, or interest;)
  • to give a return, as for labor expended;
  • to give way to force, pressure, etc., so as to move, bend, collapse, or the like;
  • to give up, as to superior power or authority;
A seed is created to obey the authority of its sower.

It is designed to produce by a natural process or in exchange for cultivation-a harvest.  In other words, it responds to the expectation of the soil being prepared for its planting.

Everyone has a seed.

What field are you planting yours in?

Today, God wants to yield something spectacular in your life.  He wants to bring obedience to governments that prison or limit your life.

But the force, pressure, intensity and return of God's blessing is in the seeds that you sow; the words that you speak.

Be careful where you plant them.
