"The great successful men of the world have used their imaginations, they think ahead and create their mental picture, and then go to work materializing that picture in all its details, filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that a bit, but steadily building-- steadily building"

"He is [earnestly] mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac, Which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan as your measured portion, possession, and inheritance.

-King David

God is mindful to do what He has promised.

He never forgets; What He has commanded, He will establish in and through you and your descendants (physical and spiritual.)  Realize that when God puts a passion, dream, call or promise in your heart, it becomes a law in your life.

A law that demands your obedience and the compliance of men and women who come in contact with it:

  • They must sow into it.
  • They must invest into it.
  • They must come into harmony (or alignment) with it.
  • They must sign contracts for you to fund it.
  • They must pay "back money" owed and invoices on time.
  • They must see the value you increase and bring to the organization and promote it.

The Word, God Himself, is a Promise that lives, breathes, walks and stands up inside you, even when everything around you wants to quit.  So when David writes, "He is earnestly mindful of His covenant," God is saying, "I am mindful of Myself."

"I am mindful of:"

  • My faithfulness
  • My reputation and Name
  • My unchangeable Word
  • My indispensable role to bring it to pass
  • My miracles
  • My favor
  • My ability to turn the hearts of kings whichever way I want
  • My wealth
  • My power
  • My gold, silver, cattle on a thousand hills and all the earth's resources at My disposal to push you into your destiny.

You see, we are never called to achieve anything on our own.

The Apostle Paul wrote: "Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a *preciousness and paid for, *made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body."  (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

Because we are not our own, we are never ALONE.  God wants to build alongside us; He wants to go before us and use our imagination to dream and achieve impossible things.

In Psalms 105:11, God said to His army, "Unto you will I give the land of Canaan as your measured portion, possession, and inheritance."

What do you want God to give you in battle?

What are you willing to give Him in exchange for it?

Because the measure in which you bend, is the measure in which He extends.

God always gives us the measured territory, authority, position, influence and conquest we gain.  We just don't always give Him the credit.  But it is God Who changes the times and the seasons; He alone removes and sets up kings.  Even to the unbeliever who doesn't recognize, know or trust Him, God permits them to rise into fame and leadership for His purposes.

Whether it is to pile up riches and lay it up for the just OR to come to the end of themselves and find life meaningless without Him, God is involved.

God is always intricately involved in enlarging gifts and dreams or helping people overcome incredible odds to succeed.

But while man looks on the outward appearance, God examines the heart of WHY we dream.

In Genesis 11, scripture records that when the whole earth was of one language and of one accent and mode of expression, the people said, "Come, let us build us a city and a tower whose top reaches into the sky, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over the whole earth."

Verse 5 says: "And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built;" Reminding us that God inspects what we are building (in leadership, marriage, motive, children, people, etc.)

Then the Lord said something very interesting: "Behold, they are one people and they have *all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do, and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them. Come, let Us go down and there confound (mix up, confuse) their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from that place upon the face of the whole earth, and they gave up building the city."

The imagination and unity (of a dream or team) is powerful in us.

God saw the people were of one mindset, one language and purpose and said: "This is only the beginning of what they will do...we must confuse them or nothing they have imagined will be impossible for them."

Why?  Because their imagination and dreams magnified themselves instead of God.

They wanted to make a name for themselves, not Him.  So when God saw what they could do with the success they wanted, He confused the work of their hands (or building.)

God will not allow your dreams to destroy you and burn bridges.

Our Director of Chapter membership, Daniel Afram recently shared this to me: "On one hand, we use dreams to describe hopes ("I always dreamed about starting my own business.")-or we use it to say that something is unattainable ("Are you dreaming?").  The cynicism in our culture even mocks dreams ("You must be dreaming." Or "Quit daydreaming.")"

Today, silence the cynics.  Stop daydreaming.  Check your motives and work ethic.  Dream with purpose, but not on someone else's clock.  Refuse to divide the Kingdom of God and excellence in you.

As you are faithful over someone else's clients, members, money and time, God will give you your own in due season.
