WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHAMPION BYTE OF 2008? HOW DID IT IMPACT YOU? WE WANT TO KNOW.
TELL US NOW!
"For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and *carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised. For still a little while (a very little while), and the Coming One will come and He will not delay. But the just shall live by faith; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him." -The Greatest Love Story Ever Told
You will not receive anything from God impatient or fearful.
I cannot live my life afraid:
- Afraid of failure
- Afraid of people
- Afraid of the bank saying no
- Afraid of leaving a paid job for a promise.
You say, "I am not afraid Ed." But, why have you not yet started (or stalled in) doing what God has called you to do?
Human tendency is to start something excitedly, passionately and then draw back. We start and do not finish. But we will never win the marathon like that.
Our destiny is not designed to be a sprint.
It is a marathon won by performing and accomplishing the will of God by faith. We must be in it for the long haul, no matter what comes.
You cannot draw back from what you want because of fear.
Let's face it, everyone will not like you. Only a certain group of people will need you; yet you are still God's anointed and chosen vessel.
King David declared:
"For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord [in the end] shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more; though you look with care where they used to be, they will not be found" (37:9.)
Sometimes, it seems like we prone to trouble, bad news and opposition.
We can become so used to seeing doors close, promotions denied, contracts being canceled, sickness and poverty taking rule in our lives so much, that we expect it.
But you are designed to outlast your opponent.
That's what Champions do. Whoever endures to the end, wins. You are designed to outlast the people that do not like you, want you fired and out of the league, city or industry you are in. It's in your DNA. It is your heritage and destiny to overcome evil lovingly and convincingly, in a rout.
Psalms records the victory at the Red Sea in a striking manner: "And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the [Egyptian] enemy. And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them was left. (106:10-11.)
When you come to God and learn to trust Him on the shore of disaster, He provides divine wisdom, influence and faith to bury the enemy (the competition of poverty.)
Jesus told His disciples: "For I [Myself] will give you a mouth and such utterance and wisdom that all of your foes combined will be unable to stand against or refute."
The combination of the economic crisis and financial distress cannot stand against the combination of you and God.
Romans and Hebrews have some great promises as we plan the desires in our heart this year. Specifically, the authors write:
"If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]" (8:31)
"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (13:6.)"
Today, dare to live in His promises.
God did not help you recover to abandon you to the economy. God didn't move you forward to push you backwards again.
If He said, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper," then IT CAN'T.
If He said, "I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus," then I AM!
He really did give you that industry and city.
Don't draw back.
Enjoy to the full what has been promised.
