"By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth." King David
You create the source of your divine increase by speaking the Word of God over it.
When the earth was established, God Himself stretched out the heavens to accommodate the blessing and favor He intended to pour out on the earth (in your life.)
The Hebrews writer wrote: By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. (Heb. 11:3)
God created us to frame, bring and present our plans to Him.
God needs a plan. Many people never see fulfillment of God's promise, because they never create and show Him the legwork of HOW they intend to start the vision in their heart and finish it.
Let me understand this; you need a plan for your annual vacation (to take your family to a new destination), but not one for the dream, business, marriage, children, career or ministry you are building?
The dreams in your heart may belong to God, but the plan of how you fulfill it starts with you.
King Solomon wrote: "THE PLANS of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart). Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall YOUR plans be established and succeed." (Pr. 16:1)
It is not uncommon to believe that your dream is impossible.
That is why you must present a plan to God. If you want to build something in 2009 that has never existed in your life, you need to create a plan. God brings our submitted plans into alignment with His divine will and wisdom over a process of time.
Under existing California law, to build a house from ground up or to make any major changes to an existing piece of property, you must bring a plan of what you want to build to the city. David wrote, "There is a river whose streams make glad the City of God." The city, Presence and flow of God in your heart wants to be apart of your greatest comeback in 2009:
- God is not finished with us yet.
- The towel has not been thrown in.
- The final bell has not rang.
- We are still in contention.
- We are still in the fight.
The Apostle Paul wrote: You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us-trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us-he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake, which makes Jesus' life all the more evident in us. While we're going through the worst, you're getting in on the best! 2 Cor. 4:6-9
The best times of His presence and your leadership (ministry) sometimes flow out of the worst times of your life.
Often with the distractions of success, we can't see God's true plan for our lives; so he isolates us on the backside of a desert in a mediocre job and speaks through an experience that burns us but does not yet consume, saying: "Take your shoes off, you are standing on holy and groundbreaking territory; I still have a promise that is unfulfilled in your life. I want to give you a NEW position and influence that will mark your name in history and in the lives of people, FOREVER."
King Solomon and Jeremiah wrote:
"A man's mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure." (Pr. 16:9)
"I know that [the determination of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps." (Jer. 10:23)
God expects us to plan how we are going to do what is in your heart; then, He plans creatively through us. He is the voice in our ear as we move forward telling us, go right, go left, this is the way. That's why what you planned years ago has slightly changed from its original form. Look at your old business plan, dream or mission statement. How much of it have you done so far?
If you want to win convincingly in 2009, you need a plan.
Today, God is saying, "Bring me a blueprint. Show me what you want to do. Show me HOW you see all of this coming to pass. I put the dream in your heart, but what is your plan? You've prayed, now get into my Presence and write something that is magnetic and powerful to draw nations."
It doesn't take faith to go to work everyday and build in a place, field, OR area that we are comfortable. We must do something where the potential of the thing, scares, challenges, excites and pushes us all at the same time.
Make a decision to sow into your vision, promise and expectation for 2009. Stimulate YOUR economy; Go out on a limb.
Sometimes, we don't discover His plan until our plans fail.
