First Communions
Sacred and religious, Communions are very meaningful events to many Christians.  Usually beginning after Easter and continuing for a number of weeks into May, your son and/or daughters First Holy Communion is an important step in their religious upbringing.  Following Sunday Mass, family and friends will gather to celebrate.  Rather than spending your day shopping and cooking, Jacques offers many packages that will make your day so much more relaxing.  Communion Breakfasts, Brunches, Afternoon Buffets and many other packages, all either delivered to your Church, home doorstep or Venue of choice.

Exclusive Party Rentals can also provide you with that special added touch that will make your child's Communion stand out.  In addition to the necessary components to a successful Communion such as tents, tables, chairs, and linens, try adding a popcorn machine, hot dog cart, or frozen drink maker.

No matter how big or small your Communion catering needs are, Jacques' Catering Consultants can provide the best possible experience for you and your family.

Graduations
8 Steps to Throwing a Successful Graduation Party

1.  Decide on a date and time - Be considerate to family and friends, always make sure you check and make sure you don't conflict other family events that are already scheduled.
2.  Set a budget - Jacques offers packages to meet any budget, whether its just a few pans of food, or an elaborate Gala at our Reception Center.
3.  Choose a location- Your backyard, a park, at the beach, even a night club!
4.  Make your guest list - Don't forget school friends, teachers, etc.
5.  Buy & send invitations - Social media is becoming ever more popular, consider using Facebook to invite your friends and send written invitations to family.
6.  Create a menu - Finally our favorite part.  Need help creating a menu around a special theme?  We are here to help.  Hawaiian Luau, Country Style Picnic, Italian, Mexican, whatever your theme, our Consultants can put together a package just for you.
7.  Design and decorate your space - You have tons of choices: balloons, tablecloths, centerpieces, posters, etc.  Most people just decorate using the school colors. They also put out funny baby pictures, school projects and sports gear to personalize the space. A guest book or T-shirt for people to sign can be added as well.
8.  Relax and enjoy!! - Yes, sometime we actually need to be reminded.

Outdoor Weddings

Outdoor Weddings can be wonderful, even if the weather doesn't permit .  When planning a wedding outdoors, the first thing to consider is the tent.  They can be lined with white sheer linen, the poles draped and tied, and many other amenities added to enhance your guests comfort.  Some additional accessories to consider: heaters, fans, air conditioning, dance floors, lighting, etc.  Jacques offers so many options in each of these categories.

Create a Plan, being organized is what can make the difference between a successful event and one that's doomed. But outdoor events put even more emphasis on the planning up front.   A site-by-site game plan, with equipment needed at each location, is a starting point.  It helps to have on paper, a list of everything needed for the cocktail hour, in the reception tent,  at a buffet, etc.  Since Jacques Caterers can handle all your rental equipment, it becomes much easier for our Sales Managers to make sure our clients are going to get that dream Wedding and Reception.  Our staff can also help with the planning for porta-johns, exit signs, fire extinguishers and more.

Lemon Pound Cake
Butter Cream Frosting

Vanilla Candy Melts

4" Loli Pop Sticks

Crumble the cake into a large bowl until broken up into pieces. Mix in about 2/3 of the frosting to start with, using either a large wooden spoon, or your hands if you want to get messy. Mix until the frosting is evenly dispersed. Take a small amount of cake mixture (approximately 2 tablespoons or so) and try rolling it into a ball with the palms of your hands. If it stays together, continue to roll the rest of your cake mixture into balls and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. If they fall apart or do not hold together, add a little more frosting until the mix is moist enough to allow you to roll an intact ball.  Place in refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes.

When the cake balls have been chilled, melt a small amount of the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Take one of the sticks, dip about 1/2 inch of the end into the melted candy and stick it about half to three-quarters of the way through the cake ball. Don't go too far into the cake ball, or it will fall apart. The candy melts will help adhere the stick to the cake.

Place the cake pops back onto the parchment and repeat process with all remaining balls. Place the cake pops in the freezer for 30-60 minutes before coating.

Once the cake pops have been chilled, melt the rest of the package of candy melts.  Remove about 5 at a time from the freezer. Gently reshape the ball with your fingertips as they may have flattened a bit.  Now one at a time, dip the cake pops into the melted candy coating making sure to get the coating all the way up over where the chocolate on the stick is attached.  GENTLY tap off the excess coating on the edge of the bowl while rotating the cake pop, to get a nice even layer all the way around.  Stick them in a piece of Styrofoam and let them dry pop side up

While the candy coating is still wet, feel free to go crazy with sprinkles, edible glitter, or even crushed nuts. If you are piping or dipping another color onto the pops, wait until the base layer is completely dry before doing so. You may need to melt more candy melts depending on how thick your coating ends up. It is always good to have a few extra bags on hand.
