Walker Global Hybrid Course - Branding in Vienna

Are your students looking for an international opportunity without the long term commitment of a term abroad? Here's an opportunity to experience the world with the Walker Global Hybrid Courses. The Fall 1 course MNGT 5870 -Branding in Vienna is currently open for registration.
Set in one of Europe's best business cities, the three-credit course blends online and travel learning with a one-week trip to Vienna. It's designed to teach students how to develop cultural awareness and appreciation of the challenges in global marketing and branding.
Students will meet with executives from Starbucks, IBM, T-Mobil and more.
Course instructor Julia Skobeleva from the Webster Vienna campus is excited about the opportunity to share this experience with her students. "Naturally, the most appropriate setting for a course on cultural branding is the authentic European city- Vienna," said Skobeleva.
To help with the cost of travel, The Walker Travel Award is an incentive for graduate and undergraduate business students to enroll in global hybrid courses. The scholarship awards up to $1000 for international airfare expenses.
More information on the Branding in Vienna course and other Walker Global Hybrid Courses is available at webster.edu/walkeraward. Questions and registration assistance can also be directed to Anne Browning at annebrowning15@webster.edu or 314-246-8236.

Verification of Student Major Codes

Kathy Marlock, Associate Dean in the School of Education (SoE), has requested that all staff who have students enrolled in SoE programs verify in CX that the code for each SoE student's major is accurately noted.
This is part of the School's implementation of a new assessment system and preparation for NCATE/State of Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) accreditations.
Major code verification is especially important if students are pursuing an SoE online program and the extended campus represents the service location.
If you have any questions, please contact Kathy at kmarlock@webster.edu or Diane Hosford, SoE Director of Assessment, at dhosford@webster.edu.
