clip of commencement website The 2012 St. Louis Commencement ceremony is Saturday, May 12. This year's speaker will be U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne W. Patterson.

Students who have
graduated during the 2011-2012 academic year are welcome and encouraged to attend. So far, 135 students from 27 US campuses and two international campuses, as well as 95 fully online students, have indicated that they will be attending.

If you have students who wish to participate, it's not too late. Please submit their information on the 2012 St. Louis Commencement Participation Form. Send the completed form to Francine Case.

Students should also be directed to the new and improved St. Louis Commencement website, where they will need to fill out an RSVP confirming their participation. They can also find information on Commencement Week events, ordering regalia and announcements, and getting around the Muny.

Directors were recently notified that there has been an increase in the number of grade challenges by students. As we work with our students, please be mindful that we have a policy in place that allows students the option to file an appeal. The full policy and the documented procedure are outlined in this recent memo. If you have further questions, please talk to your director or AVP.

Patrick Powers, director of digital marketing and communications, held an information session this week on the new Webster website project. Included in the discussion were some proposed wireframes (mock-ups of where basic features might be placed) of possible page layouts created by the site design organization, mStoner. The session was live-streamed for extended campuses, but if you missed it, you can catch a recording of the session on YouTube.
