Getting to Know... Child's Voice Board Members
Paul SaharackWe often mention that Child's Voice is a family, made up of our students, their families, our staff and our alumni families. One alumni family continues to stay involved at Child's Voice in many ways, including through their extended family. Paul joined the Board of Directors in 2007. As a grandfather to a 2006 graduate, Paul had seen first-hand the impact Child's Voice can have on a child, but also the impact made on the family.
Paul has continued to champion for Child's Voice and its effort to grow and expand to help more children with hearing loss. He remains active on Board committees and has served on the Advancement Committee and Marketing Committees to help raise awareness of Child's Voice.
When not spending time with his grandchildren or working to spread the good word of Child's Voice, Paul is an attorney at Robbins, Salomone, Patt, Ltd. where he focuses on
a variety of estates, trusts and retirement plans.
Paul and his wife, Karen reside in Buffalo Grove. They have three children and five grandchildren.
Thank you Paul for all you and your entire family have done to help Child's Voice!

Ryan Briere Foundation names Child's Voice as 2012 Partner Child's Voice is honored to have been chosen as the 2012 recipient of the funds raised through the annual Ryan's Run 5K and Kiddie Sprint. The Ryan Briere Foundation was founded last year in honor of Ryan Briere who passed away shortly before his third birthday. The Foundation is focused on honoring Ryan's memory by supporting children. Last year's Ryan's Run raised over $13,000 that was donated to Ryan's school, the Goddard School. This year, we are thrilled that Ryan's Run will benefit the Audiology Center and its new program to provide follow-up testing and services to newborn babies following their screening at birth at the hospital. Thank you to the Ryan Briere Foundation and to all those participating in and sponsoring Ryan's Run. From Dr. Michele...
What an exciting end to the year! But...it might be the end of the school year and the end of our fiscal year (June 30th) but it's such a time of beginnings too! Graduating 19 students as they begin their time in their neighborhood schools...continuing the Golf Tournament that raised a record setting amount this year...the 1st Alumni Panel about choosing a college with our graduates, many of whom are beginning college or their search for one and the continuation of our relationship with Boy Scouts as another Eagle Scout is beginning his project this month...these amazing beginnings reinforce why we do what we do.
The joy that we see from a child learning his first word, the absolute awe that parents have when touring our School...it's all for the children, for the families. The happiness from giving to one another, it is its own instant reward. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you do for Child's Voice. Thank you, merci, gracias, etc. Have a great summer, enjoy the sunshine and time with your families.
