Laughter, giggles, squeals of excitement - these are all sounds heard at the annual Harmony Club Summer Picnic. This year, the Picnic is Saturday, September 10th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Located at the Catherine Chevalier Woods in Chicago, near the intersection of NE River Road and W Foster Avenue, this Picnic is held annually by the Harmony Club to benefit the current and alumni families of Child's Voice.
Child's Voice continues to benefit from the generosity of the Harmony Club, which supports the Local 134 I.B.E.W. (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). The principles of the Club are Education, Harmony and Loyalty. Many of the members are third and fourth generation electricians and continue to enjoy the memories the picnic creates each year!
Don't miss the Picnic which includes delicious picnic foods and entertainment - past years featured the balloon artists, mini-train rides and even giant snakes! Thank you to the Harmony Club for years of generosity. We look forward to seeing everyone in September!
Alumni News
Child's Voice continues to focus on the importance of our alumni. With the new alumni committee outreach, we are hoping to involve even more alumni families. You're such an important part of our history and, of course, our future!
We've been thrilled to receive alumni testimonials from some of our families. We hope that many more alumni will take the time to share updates on their successes and share their story with all of the Child's Voice family. Please

Alumni FeatureJoanna wasn't born deaf, but developed hearing loss from treatment she received at a very young age. After attending a school that taught sign language, Joanna's family was excited to learn of a school that could provide her with the ability to communicate more easily with her family.
