NOACA Releases 2009 Crash Report

Which intersections in the NOACA five-county region suffered the most automobile accidents in 2009? How many accidents involved pedestrians, bicyclists or animals?

Accident at 13th and Rockwell
Accident on Rockwell Avenue in Cleveland

Are alcohol-related accidents increasing or decreasing? You can find these answers and many more accident statistics in NOACA's newly-released 2009 Crash Report. The report contains accident characteristics and trend data for 2007-2009 compiled by the Ohio Department of Public Safety and Ohio Department of Transportation. These data will help NOACA staff select locations for road safety audits and more detailed studies.

Advanced Freight Planning Course Scheduled for April

Attention, freight planners, private sector freight managers, consultants, economic development analysts and metropolitan planning organization staff: NOACA will host a National Highway Institute Advanced Freight Planning course on April 24-25, 2012 at its Cleveland office. This course expands upon freight topics covered in other Federal Highway Administration-developed freight planning courses, and will provide participants with the skills needed to identify, prioritize, develop and implement freight supportive projects. The course is part of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Freight Management and Operations. For more information contact NOACA Freight Planner Meredith Davis.
