Troy Receives 2011 Ehrnfelt Award

Lake County Commissioner Daniel P. Troy, recipient of the 2011 Walter F. Ehrnfelt, Jr. Award for Outstanding Regional Contribution.

Outstanding Regional Contribution to Lake County Commissioner Daniel P. Troy. The Ehrnfelt Award is presented annually to a public sector worker who has significantly contributed to the betterment of the region. Troy is the eighth recipient of the award, which NOACA initiated in 2004.

 

Summit Report Highlights Accomplishments

Summit Report coverThe 2011 Summit Report, Sustainable Planning, Green Living, was distributed to NOACA Summit participants. This annual report summarizes progress on NOACA plans, programs and services, and highlights the agency's work and accomplishments over the past fiscal year. In the spirit of sustainability, a limited number of reports were printed and the document is available online.

Positions Available - Sustainable Communities Consortium

The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium (NEOSCC) is accepting resumes for Deputy Program DirectorManager of Communications and Engagement and three Program Managers. With a $4.25 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the NEOSCC is overseeing development of a regional sustainability plan for a 12-county area in northeast Ohio. The principle location for these new hires will be Akron, OH. Resumes for the Deputy Program Director and Communications Manager positions are due on Friday, July 1, 2011. The deadline for Program Manager resumes is the following Thursday, July 7.

The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) is a regional organization of local officials responsible for carrying out transportation and environmental planning under the local direction and in accordance with state and federal mandates. The NOACA area encompasses the Cleveland/Lorain-Elyria metropolitan region, which includes Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties.
