Tips for Newly Married Taxpayers 

Here are a few reminders for newly married taxpayers.

 

*If you move, notify the IRS by completing IRS Form 8822.  

 

*If you move, forward your mail to your new address through the US Postal Service website here.  

 

*Notify the Social Security Administration of your name change by completing Form SS-5 Application for a Social Security Card.

 

*Check your withholding form marriage status, and the number of exemptions you are claiming.
