Where's My Social Security Statement?

Remember those statements you used to receive from the Social Security Administration every year? The statement that projected your benefits and allowed you to review your earnings history.  You probably noticed they stopped sending annual statements a few years ago to cut expenses.

Great news!  Beginning this month, your statement is available online at http://www.ssa.gov/mystatement/. After answering a few personal questions you can establish an online account and immediately gain access to your estimated benefits and earnings record. You can also print a copy of your full statement for your files.  Set a reminder to log in and review this statement once a year to ensure your earnings record is correct and your benefits are as expected.
