During National Small Business Week, we celebrate the American Entrepreneurial Spirit because small businesses are the backbone of our nation's economy.  The PADD's Business Development and Lending Services assists entrepreneurs and business owners throughout the Purchase with planning and development of start-up businesses, providing loan and grant packaging, as well as supporting diverse needs for an existing or expanding company.

Each week, the PADD offers Business Orientation Workshops for those interested in starting their own businesses.  Reservations are encouraged by calling (270) 251-6117.  For more information regarding Business Development and Lending Services, visit our website.

2012 Kentucky Highway Plan

On behalf of Governor Steve Beshear, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released the 2012 Highway Plan.  The 2012 Highway Plan outlines the scheduled project phases for FY 2012 through FY2018.

The full report is available the Cabinet's website.

In the Purchase ADD, there are approximately $527 million in projects identified in the plan.  These include $165.5 million for a new bridge over Kentucky Lake at Aurora and $73.1 million for I-69 improvements to I-24 and the Purchase Parkway.  The I-69 improvements include upgrading the I-24 / Purchase Parkway interchange near Calvert City, reconstructing elements of the existing parkway from milepoint 25 in Graves County to milepoint 52 in Marshall County, and improvements to Exit 21 in Mayfield where it intersects US 45 Bypass.

"Volunteer Counselor Orientation"
Sponsored by State Health Insurance Assistance Program

FY2012 State Homeland Security Program Grants

The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security will offer a workshop regarding the FFY 2012 State Homeland Security Program Grants on Tuesday, June 5th, from 1:00 to 3:00.
