Sam's Club of Paducah Members Donate
2,800 lbs of Food to "Outnumber Hunger" |
Sam's Club recently partnered with Feeding America, BMLG Music, and General Mills to "Outnumber Hunger". During the past few weeks, Sam's Club members have purchased and donated food items featured in the national food drive. Sam's Club of Paducah members donated 2,800 lbs of food, which will be distributed by the PADD Commodity & Food Bank program to the 38 agencies in the region that distribute Feeding America donations. Mrs. Barbara Helm is an Educational Services Coordinator of the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health. She will discuss the issues facing caregivers, offer tips for surviving, and thriving as a caregiver.

at Gospel Mission Worship Center in Paducah
Speakers include psychiatrist Dr. Kenneth Brown, Rheumatologist, Dr. Christopher Phillips, Neurologist, Dr. Jacqueline Carter, Alzheimer's' disease specialist and researcher from the University of Kentucky, Dr Gregory Jicah, and other experts including an estate attorney, an elder suicide expert, a representative speaking on elder abuse and another speaking on Medicare scams and fraud.
Persons aged 60 and older may attend free by contacting the PADD office, students pay $10.00 and others pay a fee of $35.00. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided in the cost. Everyone is welcome. For more information, please contact Vicki Williams at (270) 247-7171.

2012 Purchase Area Senior Games
| It's that time again! The Purchase Area Senior Games will be held May 14-18. Opening Ceremonies will be held Monday, May 14th at the Regional Sports Plex, located at 6525 US Highway 60 in Paducah. The Regional Sports Plex is a facility that can accommodate all the Opening Day events in an indoor, climate-controlled setting.
