We are pleased to announce that the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development is hosting a regional roll-out of the Kentucky Small Business Credit Initiative (KSBCI) on

Thursday, September 15th at 12:00 p.m.

Purchase Area Development District

1002 Medical Drive, Mayfield KY

We invite you to join us on the 15th to learn more about the new KSBCI programs directly from Cabinet staff.

The Cabinet has been approved by the United States Department of Treasury to receive the Commonwealth of Kentucky's allocation of federal funding for the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). The Cabinet assigned the funds to the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (the Authority) for the creation of the Kentucky Small Business Credit Initiative (KSBCI).

At this session, we will learn about the three new KSBCI credit support programs designed to generate jobs and increase the availability of credit to small businesses by reducing the risk that participating Kentucky lenders, credit unions, and Community Development Financial Institutions assume. The initiative, composed of three distinct credit enhancement programs, will leverage funding from these private lenders to help finance creditworthy small businesses that would typically fall just outside a lender's normal underwriting standards.

The three programs that compose KSBCI are:

  • The Kentucky Capital Access Program (KYCAP)
  • The Kentucky Loan Participation Program (KYLPP)
  • The Kentucky Collateral Support Program (KYCSP)

We anticipate the length of this meeting, including lunch, to last approximately one and a half hours. Please RSVP to by clicking the link above or contacting Sheila Rogers at (270) 251-6117 or sheila.rogers@purchaseadd.org. We look forward to seeing you on the 15th!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Beck Walker
