PADD to Update Purchase Area

Hazard Mitigation Plan

The current Purchase Area Hazard Mitigation Plan will expire in November 2011. A FEMA approved plan with local participation are necessary to maintain the region's Hazard Mitigation grant program eligibility. Also, to maintain eligibility each community is required to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program.

Regional Transportation Committee

 Prepares for FY2011 Prioritization Process 

 

PADD staff have been working with local officials and Regional Transportation Committee members to obtain local and regional transportation project rankings. The FY11 Priority Process began in December 2010 with PADD staff submitting a proposed plan for obtaining priorities and rankings to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Goodyear Closure Affects Hundreds of Kentucky Residents

Founded and headquartered in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear is one of the most well-known and respected tire manufacturers in the United States. With current sales totaling near $20 billion, Goodyear has 23 manufacturing plants in the United States and Canada, and with over 71,000 employees.  The Union City facility has been in operation since 1968 and has 1,983 employees.
