The West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board and the Purchase Area Development District invite you to attend the rollout presentation of Purchase Future, An Economic Strategy for West Kentucky, by TIP Strategies at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 23rd at Purchase Area Development District located at 1002 Medical Drive, Mayfield KY.
The West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (WKWIB) and the Purchase Area Development District (PADD) want to ensure that our region is prepared for the future. With funding support from the U.S. Department of Labor, the WKWIB and the PADD have completed a strategic planning process that will position the region to leverage our opportunities and assets. Led by Austin-based TIP Strategies, the process has included a review of existing information about the region, a quantitative analysis, and discussions with stakeholders including a series of opportunity workshops that were held in each county.
Purchase Future, An Economic Strategy for West Kentucky provides recommendations for improving the region's future economic vitality. The report includes recommendations for target industry recruitment as well as ideas to support existing business, foster entrepreneurship, and attract new industry.
