Time for another newsy missive from Big Sky Country! Wow, what a winter we're having up here. I sure hope your holiday season was joyful, and I do believe we're all ready for a bigger, better 2011!
Things are shaping up for a good year. I just finished my first show of the year in Dallas, where I was the featured artist at the prestigious Dallas Safari Club Convention. The show went well, the crowds seemed eager to see all the latest pieces, and I was happy to oblige.
This was one of my more popular paintings at the show; I'll have this painting, along with many others, at my next show in a week.

I was quite busy in December getting ready for my show season, but I did find time to take an interesting trip abroad to Turkey, where I had a brief but exciting hunt for bezoar ibex, and a little touring in Istanbul, weather permitting. Then it was back home to pack, get ready for the holidays, and prepare for my upcoming shows.
I will soon be back on the road, driving to Reno for the huge Safari Club International Convention at the Reno Convention Center, starting on January 26. I hope I will see many of you there! Be sure to drop by and check out the new work. My display is in the

center of the big room, booths #635-641. I also have a large painting in the Friday auction.
And if you miss SCI, you can catch me at the Wild Sheep Convention, also in Reno, starting Feb 10. I plan on working on an original at the sheep show, so come on by and check it out.
AND---watch for my upcoming video/Facebook debut, where I will be showcasing a step by step of how one of my major paintings comes to life!
