The QUEST Alumni Board (QAB) members have been busy the past few months laying the foundation for the new group and beginning to organize events and tasks. The 19 alumni on the board have each chosen an area of personal interest in one of the three QAB focus teams; Alumni Focus, Student Focus or Program Focus. My Study Abroad Experience - Sahil Rahman (Q17)

The last 5 months of life have been absolutely insane, and more fun than I realized was even possible!

 

I decided to study abroad in Sevilla, Espaņa, which is the 4th largest city in Spain, and is located in Andalucia, the south of the country. I went with an outside program called Academic Programs International, and deciding to study there turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. In the summer of 2010, I started an ice cream cart with good friend Ethan Frisch called Guerrilla Ice Cream. At Guerrilla Ice Cream, we offered bold, interesting ice cream flavors and a dedication to social justice. Each of our flavors was inspired by a political movement and cuisine from around the world, and we donated 100% of our profits to support marginalized populations locally and internationally....Read More

 Booz Allen Hamilton - UMD Alumni Night

 

The Clark School of Engineering and Booz Allen are hosting an Alumni event from 6pm-8pm on June 23rd, 2011 at the Kim Building on Maryland's campus. This event will be a networking opportunity for any UMD Alumni who might be interested in a career at Booz Allen. Attendees should bring a resume. QUEST alumni currently working at Booz Allen will be in attendance.
