February Greetings!

This month I'll keep the newsletter short and sweet. 

Here at the herb farm we're very busy getting ready for spring.  The tomato seeds (100's of them) that were planted a couple of weeks ago are up and looking great.  Seeding of lettuce, peppers, Swiss chard, asparagus and more will continue in the weeks to come. 

If you are planning a garden this spring now is the time to plant radishes, carrots, beets, and other cool-weather veggies.  These do best when they are planted early to mature before the warmer weather of mid to late spring sets in.  We have heirloom seeds available for all these and more.  We are open by appointment only until mid-March so give us a call if you'd like to come out and see what's available.

This Valentine's Day we are excited to offer some very special treats, made right here with only the finest ingredients:

Handmade Chocolate Truffles
The ultimate Valentine's Day gift for the serious chocolate lover.  A dozen decadent, creamy confections rolled in toasted coconut, candied ginger, lavender sugar, and ground hazelnuts.  Very, very Valentine presented in a gift box tied with a perfect red ribbon - $18.00.

These are no ordinary cupcakes - rich, tender chocolate cake topped with minty cream cheese chocolate frosting... extraordinary indeed!  A half-dozen large cupcakes in a bakery box tied with that perfect Valentine's Day red ribbon - $12.00.

Rosemary Orange Muffins
If you have attended one of our Saturday morning workshops you have no doubt enjoyed one (or more) of these luscious treats.  Everyone comments on the surprising combination of rosemary and orange... both savory and sweet in a large, tender muffin.  The perfect addition to a Valentine's Day breakfast or luncheon get-together.  A half-dozen in a bakery box tied with a large red ribbon - $12.00.

Our Famous Lavender Pecan Cookies
 
Crisp and chewy with an unmistakable
hint of lavender, these cookies are really something special.  Many of you have had them here at the herb farm and when we offer them for sale they always go fast.  One pound (30-36 cookies) in a large bakery box tied with a fancy red ribbon - $14.00.

All of our Valentine's Day goodies are special made to order.  We are taking orders now through Saturday, February 11th.
