Wow. Time is flying. May is here and summer is rapidly approaching. May is a HUGE month for the academy:

     6 + 7 Saulo Ribeiro Seminar

     14 Gym Exchange with OMA, Salem-Keizer, and Seaside BJJ

     21 The Revolution Tournament in Sumner, WA

On top of our full schedule, the energy in the classes has been great ... super training, super learning, super fun.

Keep an eye out this month on our members forum for some post regarding the best ways to learn / the art of learning. They should help folks take their Jiu Jitsu studies to the next level.

Lastly, Coach Eric and I want to hear from you. Let us know your thoughts ... what we are doing well, what we could be doing better, and what you'd like to see in academy. We are always look to raise the bar at Five Rings when it comes to service, classes, and offers. Let us know what's on your mind.

Academy Promotion Campaign

Session 2 | Advanced Application | For blue belts and higher and folks who have been to at least one of Saulo's seminars before

Five Rings Jiu Jitsu will be hosting two summer camps this summer! And this year, we are going BIG - Five day camps with 40 hours of programing. It is going to be GREAT! ! !

New Ribeiro Affiliate Grand Opening in Seattle / Chris Blanke Seminar

A new member of the Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Association came online Friday, April 29, in Kirkland Washington - Miller's Martial Arts Academy.

Miller's Martial Arts

To commemerate the launch, Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu leader (and citizen #1) Chris Blanke came in to teach a No-Gi seminar and help welcome Miller Martial Arts. Coach Tom travelled up to Kirkland to participate in the No-Gi seminar, to support the organization, and to hang out with two great guys in the martial arts world. It was an absolute blast.

Patches for Your Gi

All students must have a patch (the academy's logo) on their uniforms. We strongly encourage folks to add the Ribeiro patch as well.

If you don't have a Five Rings patch, please purchase in the Pro Shop as soon as possible. It is a requirement!

Also, a gentle reminder about gi hygiene - please make sure you launder your gi after every training session. It is your responsibility as a grappler.
