Greetings!
Things hit high gear this Fall at Five Rings Jiu Jitsu. As a matter of fact, so much stuff is happening, be sure not to miss out by checking the members' blog on a regular basis (http://www.5rjj.com/members) to stay current. Huge congrats to the twenty-two competitors that competed in the Oregon Open tournament earlier this month (bringing home 13 metals); an impressive show of team spirit and Jiu Jitsu passion. LOTS of great training has been going on in the last four weeks. Here are some of the highlights: - We had a special guest coach, Rod Conduragis, come in on Monday, October 25 to teach a two hour Judo session. He focused on the fundamentals of Judo ... great stuff! ! !
- Tuesday night sparring rounds (7:30 - 9:00 pm) have been consistently packed with twenty-five plus grapplers. WOW!
- The Juniors classes (4:30 - 6:00 pm, Monday - Thursday) have ballooned to plus fifteen children per class consistently. AWESOME! As a matter of fact, we are looking for some parent / adult volunteers to help support these classes and keep the environment high energy, positive, and fun. Please see Coach Tom if you're interested.
- Morning Jiu Jitsu (7:00 - 8:30 am) has been incredible - classes of eight to twelve regularly - and a solid floor with a couple of purple belts and an small army of blue belts in addition to a crew of white belts. It is GREAT training.

Stay tuned information about holiday schedules and upcoming events ... and if you ever have questions, please do not hesitate to call, email, or talk to Coach Tom directly while at the Academy. Keep up the great training and the great energy. Oss.
