Artist Decorating Downtown in Murals
Florida native artist, James R. Hahn, has been enjoying a warm welcome from Downtown Sebring as the artist has been providing eye-catching murals for Downtown businesses. Projects have included the Champion for Children Circle Theatre and Kathy's Consignment Boutique.
To coincide with the Centennial, Hahn is planning a 40-foot, Centennial-theme mural on the corner of Magnolia & S. Ridgewood. The vision for the wall includes race cars, buildings well-known in the area, and a general look to the artwork that is an ode to the heyday of Florida postcards. Hahn also plans on a "live painting" exhibition during the Centennial Celebration festivities. Updates and sponsorship information can be found by visiting JamesRHahn.com.

Downtown Sebring News
Sebring CRA Launching Innovative Promotional Campaign The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will launch its Downtown Sebring Business Awareness & Promotional Campaign next month. The goal of the year-long campaign is to innovatively market and promote the Downtown Sebring constituents with the CRA District to visitors and residents increasing awareness of Downtown Sebring's unique businesses that will result in positive economic growth.
The main strategies are: 1) Develop a theme/brand that will promote the Downtown core as a unique and sociable city, which will enhance, strengthen and establish new business opportunities. 2) Create a monthly campaign theme recognizing certain categories of business, existing monthly Downtown events and areas of opportunity. Merchants can create monthly specials, discounts or promotions that coincide with the themes and events can be designed to also coincide with the theme of the month.
The year-long campaign theme/brand is "I Love Downtown Sebring." As Sebring celebrates its Centennial, the CRA wants to hear from residents, visitors and Sebring fans what they love about Downtown Sebring. It's a community-based, CRA-funded and coordinated project celebrating the cultural, traditional, historical and unique characteristics of Downtown Sebring. Fans can provide feedback on the Downtown Sebring Facebook Fan Page.
Monthly themes for the first six months of the campaign have been established: October - Celebrate the Centennial November - Savor the Flavor December - Shop, Wrap & Roll January - Flying High Health & Wellness February - Art, Heart & Soul March - The Need for Speed
